The Role
This role is based in Griffith and may involve some travelling to visit projects to review and inspect/confirm design criteria. We are looking to employ a motivated person, who has engineering experience with the focus on thinking innovatively. As design engineer, you’ll be inspiring other employees and our customers to think beyond today and to keep the company’s innovative philosophy at the forefront of your mind. You will be working with a team of fellow designers, reporting on progress to the Design Manager. You’ll be focused on practical solutions, must have the ability to visualize designs in 3D in order to achieve great results and ensure ongoing improvements are achieved to continue our competitive edge in the market.
To be effective, you’ll need to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external customers across the country. You must be a confident communicator and a hands-on problem-solver looking at innovative ways to do things better. Safety and quality are also vital to our business, so you’ll need to implement our safety and quality protocols on every design. Selection Criteria
• You must be an Australian citizen or have existing rights to live and work in Australia,
• Demonstrated mechanical or hydraulic experience and achievement including tertiary education,
• Excellent communicator with a genuine interest in people,
• Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills, with a track record of using these to grow a business,
• Demonstrated achievement in the Mechanical or Hydraulic industry (Technical background),
• A track record in generating and delivering designs in a timely manner to meet ever pressing project timelines,
• A demonstrated commitment to continual improvement, innovation and learning
• Proficient in using CAD Software
